Shakhtar CEO Palkin Inspires Squad Ahead of Champions League Showdown at Inter

Shakhtar Donetsk enter their Champions League meeting with Inter carrying a profound sense of purpose. Club chief executive Sergei Palkin, who has guided the Ukrainian side since 2004, spoke candidly about the team's broader mission ahead of the evening fixture in Milan, explaining that while they cannot bring an end to the conflict back home, football provides an essential avenue to bring happiness to their people. The Ukrainian giants face a formidable challenge in front of a packed crowd at the iconic San Siro. Rather than feeling intimidated by the electric atmosphere awaiting them in Italy, Palkin insisted that the grandeur of the venue and the home supporters will serve as extra encouragement for the visiting squad, driving them to perform at their absolute maximum on European football's biggest stage. Palkin reaffirmed that Shakhtar will leave everything on the pitch against their Italian counterparts. With motivation running high, the club aims to deliver a passionate and disciplined display that can lift the spirits of fans enduring hard times, proving once again their resilience and competitive strength against elite continental opposition.
