Pellegrini Praises Betis Display After Securing Six Points From Six in Champions League

Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini has conveyed his deep satisfaction following his squad's flawless opening run in the Champions League, which has seen the Spanish outfit claim maximum points from their first fixtures. The Chilean tactician watched on as his players delivered another convincing European performance to secure six points out of an available six, placing them in an enviable position early in the tournament's group phase. Speaking after the latest European outing, Pellegrini highlighted the significance of the outcome while placing equal weight on the identity and rhythm displayed by his players on the pitch. The experienced coach made it clear that a win alone is not the only metric of success for his squad, stressing that securing victory must go hand in hand with delivering attractive and disciplined football that meets the standards of Europe's elite competition. "It is important to win, but how you win is also important," Pellegrini noted during his post-match reflections. His comments underlined his philosophy that commanding authority through possession, structure, and purposeful attacking play provides lasting foundations for a grueling continental campaign. The manager was visibly pleased that his squad managed to combine clinical efficiency with the footballing identity he consistently demands. Reaching six points from two continental matches provides Betis with significant momentum as the competition progresses. Pellegrini's remarks demonstrate that while the primary objective remains progression through the tournament, doing so while staying true to an ambitious style of play remains non-negotiable for the club under his stewardship.
